Well, this was long overdue. Since maybe a couple of years ago, I've taken more than several hiatuses from DeviantArt. I'm no longer on here as much as I once was, uploading, like, one piece of art every few months?
Well, the truth of the matter is, I've slowly but simply grown quite tired of it. Don't take this the wrong way, but I feel like maybe DeviantArt isn't the right place for me anymore. I've been on here for nine years, and in that time, I've become a much better artist than I was when I first joined. Try taking a look at all of my early stuff - it's... wonky, to say the least.
Like I said, I still upload a piece of art to DA here and there, but now, I'm most active on Instagram and Twitter. Both my accounts on those pages are mannysmyname, so, to anyone who's interested, please give me a follow!
In other news...
-I'm still working on my webcomic, Adventures of Henry the Mole. For now, you can read it only on SmackJeeves, but I'm working on bringing it to other platforms, such as Taptastic and Tumblr.
-I'll be reviving my short-form review series, formerly known as "Dr. Manny Presents". I've re-evaluated things I've already reviewed over time, so I'll be posting new reviews ASAP.
Well, that's it. Maybe this will make you all a little less uneasy. Still, I'm exploring new horizons, and I'd be grateful if you'd check them out. As Edward Murrow said, "Good night, and good luck."

During my five years on DeviantArt, I have become used to all the shenanigans, all the hubbubs, all the llamas that are on this website. I have grown as an artist, with a diverse love of comics, video games, anime, and manga that has fueled my growth. I have many favorites on this site; however, I have limited myself to these works listed below:
Emerald Burst: This was a gift for my dear friend, Star-Bell-22. Her Steven Universe-inspired character, Emerald; and my own character, Skeeter, are the focus here. It's a simple work, but it has the feel of a bursting sensation.
Birthday Buddies: This was another gift for InkDrawnDreamer. It's simpler than the above, but it's a sign that I really enjoy making other people's days. All of the characters from both of my comic series (Super Railers and Skeeter) are here, congratulating here. Really, it's wonderful.
The Greatest Ever: A poster featuring Michael Jordan. It was made in Photoshop as a project during summer class. I've actually come to be pretty impressed with it. Again, it's wonderful.
Skeeter's Memorial Day: A reminder from Skeeter and his friends to pay your respects on Memorial Day. It's the type of holiday that isn't to be taken lightly.
Draw This Again: Lena: It really shows how far I've come since 2009. You can see the improvements here.
Nightlife: One of my all time favorites. I used it as wallpaper for my computer once, and it really stood out.
Yotsuba and Caramelldansen: Part of SonicRocksMySocks's Caramelldansen fad. I chose Yotsuba because... she's easy to draw.
Dr. Manny's Database: Raina: Another of my all time favorites. Raina Telgemeier is an incredible artist!

Summer is going downhill!

Well, here's my problem:
Right now, I'm currently taking art classes at the American Academy of Art in Chicago. It's really hectic -- I mean in Chicago, like in the heart of the city!! Plus, I have to climb up and down about OVER 9000 flights of stairs to get to my classes! But a few good things have come out of it: One of my classmates is on DeviantArt. It's FlareSiram! I thought that was an utter coincidence, but I added her to my watch anyway.
Also, I have to read A Long Way Home for my school during break. Everyone says it's a good book, but I haven't even made the tenth chapter, and I already think it's boring...
Maybe I just don't enjoy reading as much as I used to.
